On Hyves you can Respect content items by giving Respect like a Like on Facebook. You can also Respect external content (based on OpenGraph information). To make this easier when you’re not on Hyves, I’ve developed an Chrome Extension that integrates this functionality within the Chrome Browser.
HyvesTV is a product within the Social Network Hyves. Where users could make lists of YouTube video’s and share these with their friends on Hyves. They can for example add this to a humor or favorites video list.
Together with my Hyves colleague Chris Mulder I build a Chrome Photo Uploader Extension for the Dutch Social network Hyves. You can upload photo’s from the browsers Contextmenu (the menu that appears when you click your right-mouse-button). Another option is to drag images from webpages into the bottom right corner of your browser. So a pretty nice extension, but that is up to you to decide 🙂
A simple ticker tape for on your personal Hyves profile. You can showoff a specific text to your friends with this ticker tape. A Full Screen version and different layouts are still on the whislist of the gadget development. You can install the gadget through the Hyves gadgetgallery over here.
I was missing a good RSS gadget on the Social Network Hyves, so I made one myself. There are 3 versions of this gadget at the moment (General OpenSocial, Twitter, General iFrame). The OpenSocial version of this gadget shows a selected feed, the title or content and a specific amount of items in the feed can be chosen. There are some preselected feeds where you can choose from, these are popular webistes in the Netherlands. But next to that you can also fill in a custom rss-feed-url.
